History of the journal

GOT, Journal of Geography and Spatial Planning, was founded by CEGOT in 2012, and the first issue was published on June 30, 2012.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that freely available scientific knowledge to the public supports a greater global democratization of knowledge. In order to ensure the scientific quality of published articles, and to ensure the impartiality of the review and acceptance of articles for publication, GOT, has a blind peer review system.

The journal is full responsibility of CEGOT, with funding from the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) under the different strategic projects and / or basic funding approved. The Universities of Coimbra, Minho and Porto provide all the academic and institutional support.
