- The Portuguese Journal of Pulmonology is the official journal of the
Portuguese Society of Pulmonology (Sociedade Portuguesa de Pneumologia/SPP),
with current editor Dr. Renato Sotto-Mayor. The aim of the journal is
to publish scientific work which is either directly or indirectly related
to the respiratory system. This work can range from original articles,
revised articles, letters to the editor, editorials, reviews of international
work, case studies, technical notes, studies, summaries of oral communications
and posters presented at the Portuguese Society of Pulmonology’s
Annual Congress and other work of recognised scientific merit.
The work covers all areas of Pulmonolgy from basic science to clinical
practice and research.
The Portuguese Journal of Pulmonology (Revista Portuguesa de Pneumologia)
is in its 11th year of publication and has been referenced on Embase,
Excerpta Medica Database since January 2001 (vol. VII) and on Index
Medicus MEDLINE, PubMED since January 2003 (vol. IX).
- The journal is published bi-monthly (with 6 editions per year) and
in addition 2-3 annual supplements are published. These bear the title
REV PORT PNEUMOL.
