SILVA, Marta S. et al. Síndrome de compartimento do membro superior secundário a infeção: Caso clínico. []. , 26, 4, pp.362-369. ISSN 1646-2122.

Compartment syndrome of the upper limb is a rare and serious clinical condition, especially if not diagnosed and treated in a timely manner. The most common etiology is trauma, and its diagnosis is based on clinical criteria. Due to the neurological complications and cutaneous defects that may arise, its treatment is of an urgent nature consisting of the accomplishment of fasciotomies and surgical debridement. It is therefore of the utmost importance that all orthopedists have the capacity to provide an adequate response in an emergency, as well as the existence of specialized units of reference in the treatment of these sequels. The authors describe a case of an upper limb compartment syndrome secondary to infection in an immunosuppressed patient. The aim of this work is to raise awareness on the orthopedic community to the urgent nature of this pathology and to the potentially devastating consequences.

: Upper limb; compartment syndrome; infection; fasciotomy; Foucher flap; reversed cross-finger flap.
