CASTRO, Isabel Lopes de. The paradox of Theseus' boat. Identity and difference in graphic design project for printed books. []. , 16, 31, pp.13-24.   31--2023. ISSN 2184-0180.  https://doi.org/10.53681/c1514225187514391s.31.164.

It is supposed that visual identity assumes importance in the development of the graphic design of printed books, especially in the case of collections and volumes, when it ensures, in each edition, the recognition of belonging to a group and also the necessary differentiation from the previous edition. In this study, non-interventionist methodologies and an exploratory case study were adopted. The case study consisted of an active research component, with the development of a graphic design project of volumes, resulting from José Quaresma's research project in painting A Pintura Contemporânea no Barco de Teseu (Contemporary Painting in the Ship of Theseus). The research method used was the descriptive single case study, which focused on the creation of visual identity.
