En una investigación, el diseño es la base de la cual se parte para comenzar a desarrollar el trabajo, existen diversas teorías expuestas que proponen diferentes maneras de establecer o crear el diseño de la investigación cualitativa. Entre las destacables se encuentran las de Maxwell y Flick, resultando trascendental estudiar a Bunge debido a que a partir de él se esclarece lo que debe entenderse por investigación científica. A través del siguiente artículo se pretende comparar e identificar las principales aportaciones de cada autor en el aspecto metodológico y a la investigación cualitativa. Mediante el estudio comparado de las teorías de cada autor se logra sustraer y destacar los componentes que cada uno señala, como los esenciales para el diseño de la investigación cualitativa con la finalidad de que, partiendo de este contraste, los investigadores puedan crear el diseño que sea más acorde para sus investigaciones. Con base en los elementos propuestos por Bunge y los componentes esenciales según los diseños de Maxwell o Flick, estos pueden ser adaptados a las necesidades de cada trabajo de investigación, ya que, si bien los autores realizan diferentes aportaciones que a su perspectiva es el ideal para realizar y desarrollar un trabajo de investigación a fondo y de la manera correcta, no es una obligación para cada investigador el seguir sus diseños explícitamente, puesto que para cada investigación debe elegirse los elementos y el diseño que más se acople al estilo que el investigador decida usar o el que considere idóneo. De manera que con el estudio que expone este artículo se identifica a la contrastación o triangulación como parte indispensable de la investigación cualitativa.

In an investigation, the design is the basis from which to begin to develop the work, there are various exposed theories that propose different ways to establish or create the design of qualitative research, among the notable ones are those of Maxwell and Flick, turning out to be transcendental to study Bunge because from him is clarified what should be understood by scientific research. Through the following article it is intended to compare and identify the main contributions of each author in the methodological aspect and qualitative research. Through the comparative study of the theories of each author, it is possible to subtract and highlight the components that each one points out as essential for a research design so that, based on this contrast, researchers can consult the design that is more appropriate for their research, or if possible, create their own design based on the elements proposed by Bunge, Maxwell or Flick, adapting the components that they believe are essential to the needs of their own work, since, although the authors propose a design that, from their perspective, is the ideal to carry out and develop an in-depth research work and in the correct way, it is not an obligation for each researcher to follow their designs explicitly, since for each investigation the design that best suits the style that the researcher decides to use or the one that he considers suitable for his own research must be chosen.
