Abstract

ORTEGA CENTELLA, Visitación. A look unfolded: 'Semana Santa' in the work of Pilar Albarracín. Estúdio [online]. 2014, vol.5, n.10, pp.28-34. ISSN 1647-6158.

Being one of the events belonging to the Christian religious community, worldwide identified in our article specifically focused on those occurred in the area of southern of Spain, we propose a reflection about the work of the artist Pilar Albarracin, who focuses its attention to those stereotypical issues of character historicalcultural-religious exported of Semana Santa. The viewer's role is taken as a point of study in respect to those questions of the proposals of the artistic discourse that the artist uses, and how these cultural references influence the design and (re)interpretation of the work itself.
