Abstract

TOME, Joana. Filipa César’s Memograma, Insert: the margin as a cartography of lesbian resistance, transgression and memory. Estúdio [online]. 2020, vol.11, n.30, pp.93-100.  Epub June 30, 2020. ISSN 1647-6158.

Based on the notions of margin, genealogy and rhizome, this article aims to construct a cartography of meaning as a guide for walking through the three material elements of Filipa César’s Memograma, Insert. Thinking the margin in its materialization in Castro Marim, in the salt mountains and its transmutations, and in the erasure procedures of the portuguese fascist censorship as a transgressive place of inscription of lesbian bodies and desire, this article posits an alternative, genealogical, look at the Portuguese history of Estado Novo, uncovering its silences, its deviations and, thus, the possibilities of resistance today.

Keywords : margin; genealogy; memory, rhizome; counter-memory; body; lesbian desire.
