Abstract
FRAGATA, F.; SENS, M. and SEBRAO, M.. Influence of the colour of polyurethane paints in the absorption and heat dissipation. Corros. Prot. Mater. [online]. 2015, vol.34, n.2, pp.53-59. ISSN 2182-6587.
It is widely known that the colour of paints has a significant influence on the temperature of painted surfaces, mostly when exposed to the solar radiation. So, there is a consensus that for the same kind of surface, black is the hottest while white is the coldest. This subject has a great interest for several industrial segments specially for the brazilian power generation industry. So, Cepel conducted a practical study, using specific methodologies, to evaluate the influence of the colour of polyurethane paints in the absorption and heat dissipation. In this paper, the methodologies used and the results obtained are presented.
