Abstract

BRANCO, António. For an idea of theater pedagogy: lightness, quickness, exactitude, visibility, multiplicity. Rev. Port. de Educação [online]. 2014, vol.27, n.1, pp.55-77. ISSN 0871-9187.

Based on the experience I've had in theater training of non-actors, I propose to identify the guiding principles of a theatre pedagogy based on a stanislavskian matrix. For this, I explicitly appropriate the properties of literature defined by Italo Calvino, using each one to characterize the problems most frequently experienced by students on theatrical exercises and the pedagogical responses that I have found to help them overcome them: lightness - the issue of morality; quickness - the question of block or hyperactivity in expression; exactitude - the question of rigor; visibility - the question of imagination and its relationship to 'reality'; multiplicity - the question of the polyphony of the self.

Keywords : Theater pedagogy; Non-actors training.
