Abstract

COSTA, Alexandre Rodrigues da. Open fractures: an analysis of "Desconstruções," paintings of Alan Fontes. Estúdio [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.12, pp.141-149. ISSN 1647-6158.

This article aims to analyze the paintings of Deconstructions series, 2014, by the artist Alan Fontes, from Minas Gerais, based on the Georges Bataille's concepts of formless and heterogeneity. These concepts allow us to think about a painting that works critically the architecture, to treat the house as precarious place, opening to accidents. The house is, in the Alan Fontes' paintings, a proliferation of directions that opens through tearing, for the disorder, the disintegration of which is familiar when empty forms dissolve themselves in what keeps them.

Keywords : ormless; labyrinth; disaster.
