Abstract

GONZALEZ PALACIOS, María del Rocío. Felipe Alonso: identification with the classsical myth. Estúdio [online]. 2015, vol.6, n.12, pp.190-198. ISSN 1647-6158.

Felipe Alonso (Madrid, 1985) is a young figurative painter with a brilliant career and many exhibitions. He part from a contemporary vision of classical myth, it presents a production that, in our view, could be analyzed from the archetypal idea of alétheia-truth, the unconcealment of Being. Our intention is to delve into how the artist uses symbols preset in classical mythology to build a current and personal message. His work is brewing from a process of concealment and unconcealment of the forms, after which, finally, that emerge his own identity.

Keywords : Mythology; alétheia; truth; Felipe Alonso; identification.
