Abstract
SERRANO LEON, David. Obsession and darkness in the work of José Carlos Naranjo. Estúdio [online]. 2016, vol.7, n.13, pp.155-165. ISSN 1647-6158.
José Carlos Naranjo (1983) is a young Andalusian painter who feels trapped by the work of Francisco de Goya, an obsession that leads him to insist again and again on the whims and Nonsense. Reflects on the role of men in our society, for it, conceals the faces of the characters that inhabit marginal spaces, the periphery of the city. It is at night where these stories happen, because this promotes the fantasy, reverie. The result is a powerful image where the real protagonist is the idea, an invitation to reflection and to resolve the questions raised.
Keywords : Painting; realism; figuration; night landscape.
