Abstract
MARQUES, Rafael; FARIAS JUNIOR, Ivaldir and MARINHO, Marcelo. Adaptation of Agile Roles in Large-Scale Distributed Projects: Perception of Industry Professionals. RISTI [online]. 2023, n.51, pp.67-83. Epub Sep 30, 2023. ISSN 1646-9895. https://doi.org/10.17013/risti.51.67-83.
Agile methods were originally designed for small, co-located teams, posing a challenge when applied to distributed and large-scale development contexts. In these scenarios, massive teams collaborate on a shared development program, dealing with complex technologies and a variety of stakeholders. Large-scale projects often extend geographically, making the adaptation of agile practices' roles crucial for these environments. This work aims to understand the adoption of agile roles in these contexts, investigating the scaling in distributed implementation. Additionally, we seek to assess participants' perceptions of the utility of these adaptations in projects.
