An experience report of an Extension Course in continuing education aimed at school psychologists working in public education contexts is presented, and its impacts on professional performance are discussed. The course took place fortnightly, from March to December of 2019, and were attended by 12 psychologists from Paraíba, a northeastern Brazilian state. The course aims to advise and monitor the activities of the professionals and to favor the appropriation of theoretical, methodological and technical tools for the educational school context. The meetings were mediated by texts on school psychology and aesthetic elements and were recorded in minutes containing the participants' reports on the impacts of ethical, theoretical, methodological and technical deepening in their practices. At the end of the course, there was: a collaborative construction of action-reflection-action processes in the development of activities; the recognition of the protagonism and value of knowledge and of the strategies used by professionals in their institutional daily life; and the motivation to carry on with continuing education.
