Abstract
TAVARES, David; LOPES, Noémia and GONCALVES, Carlos Manuel. Work transformations in contexts of pression for professional performance. Sociologia, Problemas e Práticas [online]. 2022, n.99, pp.29-46. Epub July 12, 2022. ISSN 0873-6529. https://doi.org/10.7458/spp20229921552.
This article is based to a theoretical reflection on the changes in the nature and times of work in contexts of high pressure for performance, based on three occupational groups: journalists, nurses and police officers. We highlight the trends for increasing technological and digital competencies; control over work in the form of technosurveillance; scrutiny of the activity of the professionals; and the totalizing trace of work, in temporal and spacial terms, which generates an overlap between the professional and personal/family domains.
