CAPARROS, María José Escartín and LLOVERA, María Dolores Vargas. Immigrant woman, work and citizenship: empowering women. Ex aequo [online]. 2008, n.17, pp.35-51. ISSN 0874-5560.
The aim of this article is to reflect the position of women who emigrate in the global society, as well as their possibilities and their limits when it comes to exercise their rights and their social duties as citizens of societies which receive them. We study the peculiarities of the work of immigrant women, from the point of view of the gender analysis, and the way to validate their contributions to society. Work is a basic aspect of economic migrations as well as an important feature for the status recognition.
