Abstract

Hip fractures are a medical, orthopedic, social, family, economic and even in the organization of orthopedic services challenge. The development of a clinical pathway will allow the hospital staff to optimize resources, improve the delivery of health care and reduce spending. The development of a discharge program will allow better coordination between hospitals and health centers and improve the health care provided to these patients after discharge. So, the treatment will have continuity with a hospital-health center integration. In this article the authors made a proposal for clinical course and discharge program based on their personal experience and literature.
