Abstract

The aim of this article is to present Hein Semke's project "Faith - Certainty - Error Or Need?" and especially his artist's book "Der Gekreuzigte und ich" (The Crucified and I), where the artist discusses the issue of faith and its possibility in the modern world. Semke expresses his reflections on the subject not only in images (monotypes/watercolours), but also in words (philosophical texts).
