Abstract

CIDADE, Daniela Mendes. Scars in the landscape: the work of Cláudia Zimmer between the look and the site. Estúdio [online]. 2017, vol.8, n.18, pp.73-80. ISSN 1647-6158.

The work of the Brazilian artist Claudia Zimmer, born in Florianópolis, Brazil, consists of using simulations of her "half" visual impossibility, to implant physical elements face the camera lens. Departing at the work of Zimmer, the article proposes a reflection on the question of photography and its inscription on the landscape as a process of sublimation, where the perception of light and dark presences previously undiscovered point to a possible healing of fissures.
