Many of the historical-political analyzes of the Azores focus on their value from a geostrategic point of view and their military importance in the North Atlantic space during the world wars of the 20th century. At a time when a new war ravage Europe and another world order is being redesigned, this article aims to contribute to a geopolitical analysis of the Azores in light of the innovations of current science, namely the readings that result from the likely bridges between complexity, postmodernist currents and critical geopolitics, which allow us to consider other centralities to the Azores archipelago.
