Resumen
OLIVEIRA, Cleide Ester de et al. Gender and sexualities used in construction of moral panic in ultraconservative political speeches in Brazil. Ex aequo [online]. 2020, n.41, pp.27-44. ISSN 0874-5560. https://doi.org/10.22355/exaequo.2020.41.02.
The discourse of Brazilian political and religious leaders regarding gender and sexualities contributed to bring moral panic to society, leading it to reproduce these discourses. The aim of this paper is to analyze, based on the theoretical contribution of Foucault's archeo-genealogy, how theses discourses are reproduced. The addressed categories are discourse/ power/truth and normatization. With a qualitative approach, YouTube videos with statements of Brazilian religious political leaders were analyzed. Anchored in Discourse Analysis, from the categories: Who speaks? Where are you talking from? What effects of meaning do they generate? we can notice that the subjects are crossed by moral, religious and pseudoscientific discourses that support heteronormativity and the groups that do not fit this pattern are excluded.
Palabras clave : gender; sexuality; education; moral panic; exclusion.
