This paper aims to demonstrate one of the forms of action of the Brazilian State to make the territory feasible to the sugarcane activities, which is the instrumentalization of the National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES - Banco Nacional do Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social) to respond to corporate interests, specifically for build and strengthen the logistics technical network, responsible to promote the flow of production and competitiveness of the agents of the productive space circuit of sugarcane. The period of analysis is from 2002 to 2015, when the State's actions for the sector demonstrate its new nature through the mediation of the uses of the territory and sugarcane activities, providing the technical and regulatory conditions required. The investments made in this period by BNDES for sugarcane activities were concentrated in some companies and in specific areas in the territory, generating situations of corporate use of the territory.
