This article seeks to engage the Portuguese academic community in the transition movement, which gathers communityled initiatives that aim to respond to climate change and shrinking supplies of cheap energy, seeking to build resilient communities, and valuing process of economic localization. This text briefly explores the structure, history, vision as well as national and international panorama of this movement
