Scientific advances for the diagnosis and treatment of AIDS, provided increased survival of people with HIV / AIDS, encouraging the formation of couples with different serological tests for HIV / AIDS, however, many people living with AIDS remain exposed to stigma and discrimination. The objective was to analyze situations of prejudice experienced by people living with HIV who are serodiscordant relationship to HIV / AIDS. Participated in 26 people living with HIV in heterosexual serodiscordant relationship to HIV / AIDS, and half of each sex. In addition, it interviewed 06 people in serodiscordant relationship to HIV / AIDS. One sociodemographic questionnaire and a semi-structured interview was used. Descriptive and statistical content analysis was used. Most have income more than 5 years of relationship and more than three years of diagnosis. Emerged from two thematic classes: Diagnosis and Prejudice. Scientific advances in AIDS are evident, but the prejudice is still present, probably due to information gaps or socially constructed beliefs. There is a need for policies that guarantee the right of this population to experience their choices in a dignified way.
