This article presents the trajectory of a research group that guides its strategies based on the analysis of PIEARCTS international research, which identifies the beliefs, attitudes and values of students and teachers about the nature of science and technology. The search result required a plan of action that unfolded in various strategies, which began with the expansion of research, through development of support materials, proposition and implementation of educational policies and school interventions, in order to contribute to science education that enables the citizen empowerment and social participation in decision-making on science and technology.
