This text reflects a classroom-workshop experience conducted in the classroom context, with the purpose of analyzing the students' previous ideas about a music considered historical and revolutionary in the Angolan reality, and, on the other hand, to serve music as the main methodological tool to facilitate the teaching and learning process. It is a qualitative study, a case study, an action-research methodology and used a questionnaire survey applied to the research subjects in the context of the “class-workshop”. Students 'productions were analyzed through inductive content analysis, supported by an approach inspired by “Grounded Theory” Strauss & Corbin (2008), taking into account the quality of students' thinking in light of the epistemology of history. Student constructs fluctuated at the “memorization” category level in the exploratory study and at the “interpretation” category level during the pilot study.
