Resumen
ALMEIDA, Maria Sidalina. Education and Training Integrated Programs in the School and Social Inclusion of Young People: The Action of Local Intervention Technicians. Sisyphus [online]. 2023, vol.11, n.2, pp.33-59. Epub 25-Jul-2023. ISSN 2182-8474. https://doi.org/10.25749/sis.29980.
We chose the Education and Training Integrated Programs (PIEF), a last resort socio-educational measure of for school inclusion, with a view to finding out if the close monitoring of the local intervention technician (TIL) facilitates the connection between school, family, and social partners, creating conditions for the social inclusion of young people “at the end of the line at school”. We intend to understand the importance of this social intervention, based on an ecological perspective, in the fight against exclusion from school and social exclusion. The qualitative approach through TIL interviews of PIEF classes, in a group of schools in the Northern region, allowed us to know the perceptions of their professional practices in the construction of a more equitable and inclusive school. The results indicate clues in the fight against school failure and school dropouts and reveal TIL perceptions about the program, indicating the implementation of new methodologies that promote school and social inclusion, guaranteeing longer, quality school courses.
