Resumen
FERRAZ, Renato y LOPES, Evandro. Job satisfaction: Comparison of two scales of measurement by means of structural equations. Rev. Portuguesa e Brasileira de Gestão [online]. 2015, vol.14, n.1, pp.37-47. ISSN 1645-4464.
Despite the existence of studies related to job satisfaction among dietitians, literature lacks studies that have identified this satisfaction nationwide, so little comparing standardized scales. Thus, the main purpose of this study was to compare two scales for measuring job satisfaction - the scale of Martins and Santos (2006) and of Lorber and Skela-Savič (2012) - using a sample of Brazilian nutritionists. The scale of Lorber and Skela-Savič (2012) was higher than its competitor. From the point of view of parsimony, it is much simpler, containing only 21 items, representing less than half the amount of Martins and Santos (2006) scale items, being also superior in factorial adequacy of its items, as evidenced by through robust indicators of adjustment. Furthermore, external validity was higher than that of its competitor, showing good predictive performance in nomological test.
