BUNGA, Iracema. Violência doméstica para com as mulheres em período de quarentena (COVID-19). RILP [online]. 2022, vol.41, pp.89-100. Epub 30-Ago-2022. ISSN 2182-4452. https://doi.org/10.31492/2184-2043.rilp2022.41/pp.89-100.
Domestic violence is a cross-sectional phenomenon which affects all socioeconomic classes, ethnicities, age groups and genders. For the study of domestic violence, a sample of 68 women was selected from the municipality of Lubango. The main requirement was that they had been cohabiting with their respective partners during the same period. The research aimed to verify if there is a relationship between the increase in cases of domestic violence against women and the fact that families are in social isolation because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result it was found that most of the women surveyed in the municipality of Lubango were married and maintained good relations with their husbands and other family members during the quarantine. Most respondents did not evidence violence during confinement. Regarding the total amount of violence and feelings inherent to anxiety, the results indicated a moderate predominance.
