NUNES, Carla; ANDRADE, Ana; VASCONCELOS, José  y  PEREIRA, Aida. Family nursing and the dynamic model of family assessment and intervention. Mill [online]. 2023, n.esp13, e32477.  Epub 31-Dic-2023. ISSN 0873-3015.  https://doi.org/10.29352/mill0213e.32477.

Introduction:

Family Nursing is fundamental in collaborating with families at all stages of life, to maximize health and well-being. The MDAIF has emerged to respond to the needs of health professionals in relation to family care (Figueiredo, 2012).

Objective:

To Characterise the family according to MDAIF and to identify the family's health needs.

Methods:

Descriptive, qualitative nature study. As a data collection instrument, a structured interview based on MDAIF was carried out with a nuclear family composed by the couple and their two children. Participation was voluntary and an informed consent was signed.

Results:

Upper-middle social class family, connected and flexible, balanced and with the perception of being highly functional, but with an 80% probability of developing psychosomatic pathologies.

Conclusion:

The family is at the centre of Family Nursing care and is seen. In this sense, nurses must know the needs and problems of families to adapt their interventions. The model used facilitates the recognition of these needs and problems, improving the provision of care.

Palabras clave : family; family nursing; dynamic model of family assessment and intervention.
