LISI, Marco. Late deciders’ voting in recent democracies: a comparative study. []. , 194, pp.29-61. ISSN 0003-2573.

This paper examines the characteristics of late deciders in recent democracies. Several studies have emphasized the distinct rationale that characterizes the choices of undecided voters compared to more stable electors. Yet, there are controversial results with regard to the main factors that explain late deciders’ voting. After analysing the specific traits of undecided voters in Spain, Greece and Portugal, this study investigates the main determinants of the time of vote decision. The findings suggest that political predispositions are particularly important in explaining differences between types of voters, while short-term factors have a marginal role, especially for right-wing voters.
