A organização do habitar nas cidades tem tido grandes alterações nos últimos 100 anos, quer pela introdução de novas teorias do urbanismo que discutiram a estrutura e a morfologia urbana, quer pela forma da implantação dos blocos residenciais, quer ainda pela organização interna da habitação. As condições sociais e culturais foram adequando os espaços às suas necessidades, que foram agora, bruscamente postas em causa pela Covid-19. Este texto faz uma breve reflexão sobre a cidade existente, a sua morfologia, a habitação e as necessidades que se fizeram sentir quando uma parte significativa da população activa e estudantil teve de permanecer por várias semanas em casa. Reflecte ainda sobre as características que a planta da casa deve contemplar para se adequar ao teletrabalho, em simultâneo, de vários membros da família.

The organization of dwelling in cities has undergone major changes in the last 100 years, whether by the introduction of new theories of urbanism that discussed urban structure and morphology, by the form of the implantation of the residential blocks or by the internal organization of the housing. Social and cultural conditions adapted the spaces to their needs, which have now been abruptly called into question by COVID-19. This text reflects briefly on the existing city, its morphology, housing and the needs that were felt when a significant part of the active and student population had to stay at home for several weeks. It also reflects on the characteristics that the house plan must contemplate to adapt to the teleworking of several family members simultaneously.
