^lpt^aO debate sobre o alcance da justiça distributiva, interno ao liberalismo igualitário, reflecte duas posições distintas: a) a que defende que o dever de justiça concerne unicamente à sociedade doméstica e toma a estrutura básica como objecto primeiro da justiça, como faz John Rawls; e b) a que denota o alcance global do dever de justiça e a interdependência entre as estruturas básicas domésticas e a estrutura básica global - Barry, Beitz, Pogge e Tan, entre outro. No seio desta última via, alguns teóricos argumentam não só que o princípio da diferença é o princípio de justiça distributiva global mais adequado, como consideram a primazia do princípio da diferença global sobre o princípio da diferença doméstico (Pogge e Tan). Neste artigo procurarei analisar em que medida esta prioridade pode encaminhar o liberalismo igualitário para uma situação de impasse. Sob este intuito, retenho-me especialmente no cosmopolitismo moral de Thomas Pogge - ilustrativo de uma das muitas feições da filosofia cosmopolita contemporânea sobre a justiça.^len^aIn the heart of egalitarian liberalism, the debate over the scope of distributive justice reflects two distinct positions: a) which argues that the duty of justice concerns only the domestic society and takes the basic structure as the first subject of justice, like John Rawls; and b) which denotes the global scope of the duty of justice and the interdependence between the domestic basic structures and the global basic structure - Barry, Pogge, and Beitz Tan, among others. Within this latter route, some theorists argue not only that the difference principle is the most appropriate principle of global distributive justice, as they also consider the primacy of the global difference principle over the domestic difference principle (Pogge and Tan). In this paper I will analyze how far this priority can lead the egalitarian liberalism into a deadlock situation. Under this light, I pay a closer attention to Thomas Pogge's moral cosmopolitanism - illustrative of one of the many features of contemporary cosmopolitan philosophy about justice.
