SINGER, Gesa. Intercultural literature: challenges and canonization. []. , 28, 3, pp.89-102. ISSN 0807-8967.

The history of contemporary literature is hesitatingly and somewhat reluctantly written regarding German Studies. However, within the academic field some movements and tendencies that also address the issue of intercultural literature have appeared. In this context we can notice a commitment to establishing a certain canonization of a literature that was traditionally considered of minor quality. This article will refer to the respective valuation of authors, themes and cultural circles related to literature (mostly) written in German. It will also meditate on the conditions of reception and teaching practice that are compelling issues for intercultural literature when it comes to discussing appreciation and mediation of literature in the social and educative context.
