^lpt^aVários estudos, em várias línguas, reportam problemas na produção (e, em alguns casos, compreensão) de morfologia flexional verbal por pacientes com agramatismo. Os estudos realizados sugerem um padrão altamente seletivo de défices: problemas ao nível das categorias gramaticais de tempo e aspeto por oposição a concordância sujeito-predicado e modo. Diferentes teorias têm sido formuladas para explicar os défices observados. Os dados obtidos e as teorias apresentadas até então são, porém, questionáveis. Neste artigo, revemos brevemente a literatura existente sobre produção e compreensão de morfologia flexional verbal em agramatismo e traçamos algumas considerações sobre a mesma, realçando problemas e questões em aberto no campo de investigação. A discussão permite identificar temas para investigação futura.^len^aProduction (and, in some cases, comprehension) of verb inflectional morphology has been reported to be impaired in agrammatic aphasia by a large number of studies across several languages. Studies suggest a highly selective pattern of impairment: the grammatical categories of tense and aspect are better preserved than subject-verb agreement and mood. Different explanations have been formulated to account for the pattern. Data and theoretical accounts presented so far, however, are questionable. In this paper, we briefly review existent literature on production and comprehension of verb inflectional morphology in agrammatism. We then present some notes on it, as we highlight problems and unanswered questions in the research field. The discussion allows us to identify topics for future research.
