The organizations and health professionals have been experiencing a pack of structural, procedural and political changes. These changes may lead to a change in the professional identification and, consequently, cause impact in the working teams as well as in the organization. The aim of the study is to identify professional and social profiles and their relationship with professional identification. The research is based on a questionnaire applied to a sample of 190 health professionals working at private dialysis clinics in the Lisbon and Vale do Tejo area. The Multiple Correspondence Analysis was used to determine the professional and social profiles, with projection of the professional identification variable. The results show three idiosyncratic professional and social profiles, two of which distinguishable by the literary qualifications and the contractual bind to the health organization and a third one clearly evident by the age and seniority. However, there is no relation between these factors and professional identification.
