^lpt^aEste estudo teve como objetivo relacionar o comportamento fenológico da cagaiteira (Eugenia dysenterica DC.) às condi­ções edafoclimáticas, selecionando plantas mais produtivas e precoces. O estudo foi desenvolvido em cagaiteiras cul­tivadas na área da Escola de Agronomia da Universidade Federal de Goiás (EA/UFG), em Goiânia, GO, Brasil. Foram realizadas leituras da altura total e da circunferência do caule a 10 cm do solo. Os estudos das fenofases ocorreram semanalmente, de setembro de 2011 a abril de 2012. Os dados climatológicos foram obtidos na Estação Evaporimétrica da EA/UFG. As plantas, com 14 anos, apresentaram altura de 3,6 m a 7,5 m e circunferência de caule de 38 cm a 81 cm. A maior emissão de folhas ocorreu em setembro, juntamente com a emissão de botões e flores; e a frutificação em outubro. Progênies de Catalão, Luziânia, Goiânia e Senador Canedo se destacaram quanto à precocidade e produção de frutos, sendo indicadas para um futuro melhoramento genético.^len^aThe aim of this study was to relate the phenology of Eugenia dysenterica DC. and climate conditions, selecting the most productive and precocious plants. The study was carried out in the area cultivated E. dysenterica in Escola de Agronomia at the Universidade Federal de Goiás (EA/UFG), Goiânia, GO, Brazil. Total height and the circumference of the stem 10 cm above the ground was recorded. Studies of phenophases occurred weekly from September 2011 to April 2012. Clima­tological data were obtained at Station Evaporimétrica EA/UFG. The plants, with 14 years showed height of 3.6 m to 7.5 m and stem circumference of 38 cm to 81 cm. The largest leaf emergence occurred in September, along with the budbreak of buds and flowers, and fruiting in October. Progenies of Catalão, Luziânia, Goiânia and Senador Canedo stood out for earliness and yield, being suitable for future breeding.
