^lpt^aIntrodução: A entrevista é considerada um método de eleição na definição do diagnóstico das Perturbações do Comportamento Alimentar. Considerando a não existência de uma entrevista de diagnóstico para as Perturbações do Comportamento Alimentar de referência internacional que esteja adaptada para Portugal o presente estudo as-sume-se como um contributo para o processo de adaptação da Interview for the Diagnosis of Eating Disorders-IV (IDED-IV; Kutlesic, Williamson, Gleaves, Barbin, & Murphy-Eberenz, 1998) no que concerne ao diagnóstico específico da Anorexia Nervosa. Métodos: A versão portuguesa da IDED-IV foi aplicada a 98 participantes do sexo feminino com diagnóstico de Anorexia Nervosa definido previamente pela equipa médica responsável. Resultados: A aplicação da IDED-IV na amostra demonstrou uma consistência interna aceitável e uma elevada sensibilidade. Conclusões: Os resultados preliminares do estudo psicométrico da IDED-IV reforçam a utilização desta entrevista tanto em contexto clínico como na investigação.^len^aIntroduction: The clinical interview is considered the gold standard for establishing the diagnosis of Eating Disorders. There is no internationally recognised semi-structured interview for eating disorders that has been validated for the Portuguese population. The present study developed an adaptation of the Portuguese version of the Interview for the Diagnosis of Eating Disorders-IV (IDED-IV; Kutlesic, Williamson, Gleaves, Barbin, & Murphy-Eberenz, 1998), specifically for the diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa. Methods: The Portuguese version of IDED-IV was administered to 98 female participants with a diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa previously established by a team of clinicians. Results: The administration of IDED-IV revealed acceptable internal consistency and high diagnostic sensitivity. Conclusions: The preliminary results of this psychometric study of the Portuguese version of IDED-IV reinforces its use for both clinical and research purposes.
