Common variable immunodeficiency represents a heterogeneous group of immunologic disorders of unknown aetiology, characterized by impaired antibody and cell-mediated responses and clinically manifested by recurrent infections, autoimmune disease and malignancy. The authors present a clinical case of a patient with common variable immunodeficiency admitted for diarrhea and weight loss.
