^lpt^aEste artigo analisa as migrações transnacionais no setor das pescas, adotando como estudo de caso o fenómeno das migrações temporárias nos mares europeus e a sua lógica económica e social específica. Neste projeto empírico apresento algumas situações profissionais de pescadores portugueses e práticas políticas que tendem a derivar dessas opções. A abordagem teórica cruza-se com os discursos de pescadores com diferentes percursos de vida e um olhar particular de um sindicalista sobre as alterações mais emergentes das relações de produção e dos novos desafios que se colocam a um sindicato num quadro de rápidas transformações económicas e políticas.^len^aThis paper analyzes the transnational migration in the fisheries sector, taking as case study the ­phenomenon of temporary migration in the European seas and their specific economic and social logic. In this project we present some empirical work situations of Portuguese fishermen and political practices that tend to derive from these options. The theoretical approach intersects with the discourses of fishermen with different life itineraries and a particular look of a labour union representative over the recent changes arising from the relations of production and new challenges to a union in a context of rapid economic and political transformation.
