CARVALHO, Ana Filipa    FERNANDES, Emília. Discrimination processes of female qualified professionals and immigrants in typically male labour contexts. []. , 33, pp.117-132. ISSN 0874-5560.

The increase in female migratory independent flows continues to coexist with deep inequalities based, in particular, in forms of horizontal, vertical and transversal segrega-tion. This article seeks to explore the processes of double discrimination - gender and immigration - as understood by a group of qualified immigrant women working in Portu-gal in the academic areas of engineering, a typically male context. The research is based on a qualitative study and aims to contribute to the discussion of how is (or is not) promoted the professional gender equality, in a particular context, and portray the potential gender-specific discrimination that can be associated with the immigration experience.

: immigrant qualified women; typical male contexts; diversity management; equality of opportunities.
