^lpt^aNeste artigo traça-se o desenvolvimento dos estudos das mulheres e de género em Portugal, desde o início do século XXI à atualidade, identificando-se o seu contributo para a historiografia recente e para a renovação da ciência histórica. Tomando como elemento de análise a investigação produzida desde o ano de 2000, captada, sobretudo, a partir de bases de dados de repositórios científicos, apontam-se as principais linhas de pesquisa, os seus pressupostos epistemológicos e enunciam-se as áreas temáticas exploradas e/ou em construção.^len^aThis article focuses on the development of women and gender studies in Portugal, from the beginning of the 21st century onwards, until the present moment. It also identifies their contribution to recent historiography and to the renovation of historical science. Considering as analysis element all the research produced since the year 2000, gathered mostly from the databases and scientific repositories of both universities and other sources, we show the several lines of research, their epistemological presuppositions, and we refer explored and/or undergoing thematic areas.
