^lpt^aA adoção da Plataforma de Ação de Pequim (PAP) em 1995, na IV Conferência Mundial das Nações Unidas sobre as Mulheres, constituiu um momento de viragem na agenda global para concretizar a igualdade entre mulheres e homens. Neste ano de 2020, a PAP comemora o 25.º aniversário, estando neste momento a decorrer a avaliação global da sua implementação. Este artigo pretende demonstrar a relevância da PAP, analisar o caminho percorrido até à sua adoção e as revisões posteriores. Procura ainda esclarecer o que está a acontecer durante o atual processo de revisão, Pequim +25, e analisar o contexto português e europeu.^len^aThe adoption of the Beijing Platform for Action (PFA) in 1995, at the Fourth United Nations World Conference on Women, was a turning point in the global agenda to achieve equality between women and men. In this year of 2020, the PFA celebratesits twenty-fifth anniversary, and the global evaluation of its implementation is currently taking place. This article intends to present the importance of PAP, to analyze the path taken until its adoption and the subsequent revisions. It also seeks to clarify what is happening during the current review process, Beijing +25, and to analyze the Portuguese and European context.
