This study aims to assess the association between social support, symptoms depression, anxiety and stress, and baby attachment. It also intends to compare the pregnant mothers group and the postpartum group maternal concerning attachment. 100 women participated in this study, 50 of which are pregnant and the others are in the postpartum phase. Participated answered to the following instruments: Socio-demographic and Clinical Questionnaire, Pre-natal and Post-natal Care Scale, Anxiety, Depression and Stress Scale and Satisfaction with the Social Support Scale. Data analysis allowed us to verify the higher social support is the lower are anxiety, depression and stress symptoms and the higher maternal bonding, is results also revealed that there is a negative association between anxiety, depression and stress, and mother-baby attachment. It was also observed that pregnant women report higher maternal attachment than post-partum mothers.
