^lpt^aO assédio moral no trabalho tem vindo a ser associado a uma série de problemas de saúde. Sendo um processo continuado tem um impacto em termos sociais, psicológicos e psicossomáticos não apenas nas vítimas mas também nas suas famílias e até nos colegas de trabalho que dele são testemunhas. Afetando a satisfação e o envolvimento profissional, o assédio moral no trabalho acaba por ter também elevados custos económicos e sociais para as empresas, relacionados nomeadamente com as ausências por doença e as reformas antecipadas. Fez-se uma pesquisa na literatura biomédica, das revisões sistemáticas publicada nos últimos dez anos, sobre assédio moral no trabalho também designado por bullying ou mobbing no sentido de esclarecer as particularidades deste fenómeno do mundo do trabalho, entender o seu desenvolvimento, perceber a sua génese no interior das organizações empresariais e analisar os impactos negativos na saúde a que devem estar atentos os profissionais e os serviços no sentido de actuarem em termos da prevenção primária, secundária e terciária.^len^aThe workplace bullying has been associated with a great number of health problems. Being a continuing process has an impact in social, psychological and psychosomatic terms not only on the victims but also on their families and even on their fellow workers who are witnesses. Affecting job satisfaction and involvement, workplace bullying also has high economic and social costs for businesses, including sick leave and early retirement. We have done a research in the biomedical literature, of the systematic reviews published in the last ten years, on workplace bullying or mobbing in order to clarify the peculiarities of this phenomenon of the world of work, to understand its development, to perceive who affects the business organizations and to analyze the negative health impacts that professionals and services should be aware of in order to act in terms of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention.
