^lpt^aTendo em vista a necessidade de conhecer como os profissionais, psicanalistas e psicoterapeutas de base psicanalítica, abordam o encerramento do processo terapêutico, realizou-se uma revisão narrativa de literatura, com o objetivo de verificar quais critérios têm sido utilizados para a finalização dos processos de análise e psicoterapia psicanalítica nos estudos publicados como artigos on line no Brasil. A busca foi realizada nas bases Portal de Periódicos da Capes, Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (Lilacs), Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) e Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS), utilizando os seguintes descritores: “Término de análise and Psicanálise”; “Término de tratamento and Psicanálise”; “Estudo de caso and Psicanálise”; “Relato de experiência and Psicanálise”. Foram considerados os artigos publicados nos últimos 20 anos que atenderam aos critérios de inclusão e exclusão, sendo selecionados 11 artigos. A análise e discussão dos resultados foi dividida em três categorias a respeito do final do tratamento: término, interrupção e suspensão. Os resultados apontaram que, na maioria dos trabalhos, houve interrupções do tratamento, sendo que essas ocorreram por questões externas ao processo ou por parte dos pacientes. Do mesmo modo, identificou-se que poucos trabalhos contemplaram o término do tratamento e, quando contemplado, não apresentaram critérios bem estabelecidos a respeito. A suspensão do tratamento, por sua vez, foi encontrada somente em um dos trabalhos selecionados.^len^aConsidering the need to know how professionals, psychoanalysts and psychotherapists approach the closure of the therapeutic process, we conducted a narrative review of literature. The objective was to verify which criteria have been used for the finalization of psychoanalytic psychotherapy and analysis processes in studies published as online articles in Brazil. The search was carried out in the Capes Journals Portal, Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (Lilacs), Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo) and Virtual Health Library (VHL), using the following descriptors: "Termination of analysis and Psychoanalysis "; "Termination of treatment and Psychoanalysis"; "Case study and Psychoanalysis"; "Experience Report and Psychoanalysis". The articles published in the last 20 years that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were considered, and 11 articles were selected. The analysis and discussion of the results was divided into three categories regarding the end of treatment: termination, interruption and suspension. The results indicated that in most of the studies there were interruptions of the treatment, which occurred due to external issues to the process or due to the patients. Likewise, it was identified that few studies contemplated the end of the treatment and, when contemplated, did not present well established criteria in respect. Suspension of treatment, in turn, was found only in one of the selected works.
