PESTANA, Pedro Câmara; COENTRE, Ricardo; FONSECA, Alexandra    POMBO, Samuel. Cognitive-behavioral therapy in early psychosis: state of the art. []. , 23, 3, pp.870-882.   31--2022. ISSN 1645-0086.  https://doi.org/10.15309/22psd230323.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy, applied to the treatment of psychosis, is currently an established intervention recognized by several guidelines. However, its effectiveness in the early stages of psychosis is still poorly understood. This manuscript aims to identify existing cognitive-behavioral interventions specifically targeted at the early stages of psychosis and to discuss the magnitude of their effect. Several interventions were identified in the early stages of psychosis, namely individual interventions and group interventions, autonomous interventions and interventions within multidisciplinary protocols, interventions based on more conventional approaches and 3rd generation cognitive-behavioral interventions. General interventions and other specific interventions were also identified for some symptomatic domains. Finally, interventions were also identified using new technologies. Cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy is effective in the early stages of psychosis, either in improving symptomatic control or in the functional improvement of these patients. However, the magnitude and duration of its effect remain unclear.
