O presente trabalho teve como objetivo investigar as intervenções do psicólogo hospitalar frente ao luto antecipatório em pacientes oncológicos; compreender a relação do paciente e sua finitude, e a relação estabelecida entre o psicólogo hospitalar e os familiares do paciente. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica do tipo exploratória com abordagem qualitativa. A busca documental foi realizada nas bases de dados BVS, SciELO e PePSIC, entre os anos de 2016 e 2021, utilizando os descritores: Psicologia x Cuidados Paliativos x Câncer; Psicólogo x Cuidados Paliativos x Câncer; Psicólogo hospitalar x Morte x Câncer; Cuidado Paliativo x Luto Antecipatório; Luto Antecipatório x Câncer. Após a seleção, obteve-se nove artigos que foram submetidos a análise de conteúdo dando origem as seguintes categorias: os pacientes oncológicos; luto antecipatório; atuação do psicólogo hospitalar e equipes multidisciplinar; cuidadores e familiares: desenvolvimento e curso da terminalidade. A conclusão da pesquisa revelou que, o luto antecipatório presente em pacientes oncológicos desperta sentimentos de raiva, tristeza, frustação, culpa e ansiedade, além do desconforto físico e espiritual que acompanham a doença. Ainda, foram relatados pelos psicólogos hospitalares, uma série de intervenções com foco em um olhar humanizado com o paciente e seus familiares. Devido a produção científica reduzida sobre o tema e ainda pouco investigado, nota-se que o psicólogo detém um papel fundamental nas equipes multidisciplinares, a fim de proporcionar um olhar cuidadoso para esse contexto. Portanto, enfatiza-se a necessidade constante de novos estudos propiciando novas discussões a um tema tão sensível.

This study aimed to investigate the interventions of hospital psychologists in anticipatory grief in cancer patients and their families, in addition to investigating the patient's relationship with death. With this, an exploratory bibliographical research with a qualitative approach was carried out. The document search was carried out in the VHL, SciELO and PePSIC databases, between 2016 and 2021, using the descriptors: Psychology x Palliative Care x Cancer; Psychologist x Palliative Care x Cancer; Hospital Psychologist x Death x Cancer; Palliative Care x Anticipatory Grief; Anticipatory Grief vs. Cancer. After the selection process, nine articles were obtained and submitted to content analysis, giving rise to the following categories: the cancer patients; anticipatory mourning; role of the hospital psychologist and multidisciplinary teams; caregivers and family members: development and course of terminality. Results: The present research concluded that the anticipatory grief present in cancer patients arouses feelings of anger, sadness, frustration, guilt and anxiety, in addition to the physical and spiritual discomfort that accompanies the disease. Still, it was found that hospital psychologists use a series of interventions focused on a humanized look with the patient and their families. With limited scientific production on the subject and still little investigated, it is noted that the psychologist has a fundamental role in multidisciplinary teams, in order to provide a careful look at this context. We also emphasize that further studies are essential, providing new discussions on such a sensitive topic.
