MARSAC, Antoine. Tourisme sportif et identités: Les pratiquants de canoë en Zambie. []. , 26, pp.83-103. ISSN 1645-3794.

From a survey of the social uses of canoeing in Zambia, this article analyzes the social relationships established between foreigners and "local people". If the organization of the business covers a tourist sight for African countries, tourists and locals come little interaction outside the recreational enjoyment. To investigate the identity, it is to characterize the genesis of the development of sport in order to capture the emergence of modes of apprehension of the Other in the territory. The singularity of social relations between Western and African populations raises the question of cultural difference. The article will provide a critical reflection as methods of structuring the canoe market is indicative of a still ambivalent relationship between North and South.
