^lpt^aNeste artigo, analisam‑se as condições necessárias e suficientes da profunda crise política e econômica pela qual passou o Brasil em 2015‑2016. Discutem‑se também as possíveis consequências da crise para a democracia, o sistema de governo e o sistema partidário brasileiros, além de se proporem reformas que possam minimizar os principais problemas decorrentes do ordenamento institucional do país.^len^aThis article analyzes the necessary and sufficient conditions of the profound political and economic crisis that Brazil experienced in 2015-2016. The possible consequences of the crisis for democracy, the system of government and the party system are also discussed. The conclusion proposes reforms that can minimize the main problems arising from the country's institutional structure.
